Madrasah Al-Qurra in Alor Gajah, Melaka, Malaysia is now facing a financial crisis which in turn affects the operation and development of the madrasah as a whole.

PROBLEMS FACED NOW
In general, there are 5 main problems faced by Madrasah Al-Qurra at the moment and it certainly affects the learning and education that is conducted. The 5 problems are
👉 Experiencing a monthly financial shortage due to relatively high operating costs.
👉 Many parents of students are unable to pay or pay the registration and monthly fees which results in an outstanding amount of RM30K per month 😭
👉 As a result of heavy rains, madrasah often experience natural disasters such as landslides on hillsides that threaten the safety of students.
👉 The condition of the surau is poor and prone to the threat of wild animals entering it
👉 Poorly organized water drainage system causes floods and other natural disasters
BIG IMPACT IF DONATIONS CANNOT BE COLLECTED AND PROBLEMS CONTINUE
Madrasah Al-Qurra is very much affected by the current situation and if this problem continues, it will certainly continue to affect the operation and process of learning and teaching tahfiz and in general, the sustainability and existence of madrasah as a tahfiz institution will be affected. If the drainage system cannot be repaired, it will also cause madrasahs to often experience natural disasters such as landslides on hillsides that threaten the safety of students. In addition, the process of upgrading the surau could not be implemented and as mentioned it caused wild animals to enter and disrupt the students’ tahfiz learning sessions.
BIG EFFECTS WHEN CONTRIBUTIONS ARE SUCCESSFULLY COLLECTED
Alhamdulillah, we have high hopes to see the tahfiz learning and teaching system continue to operate and run smoothly in Madrasah Al-Qurra to produce superior hafiz and hafizah. With this, the sustainability and existence of Madrasah Al-Qurra as a tahfiz institution will be able to thrive.
INSPIRATION STORIES & SUCCESS OF MADRASAH
There are many success stories and inspirations at Madrasah Al-Qurra. One is the story of an illiterate student. Alhamdulillah, he was able to recite the Al-Quran smoothly in just the next 2 months and managed to memorize the Al-Quran 30 Juzuk!
Madrasah Al-Qurra is also an inspiration and the best example to be named by the State Government as the best Madrasah in the State of Melaka in December 2021.
